Partner Feature - Karima Jackson

Newark Land Bank sat down with Karima Jackson of Exquisite Property Services recently and we have some news for you. Exquisite Property Service has been in business since 2018. In her own words, Karima “is a Newark-er for life” and with her business Exquisite Property Services, she’s able to not only live in Newark but give back to her community in clean up efforts. She believes that community is important in the community and Exquisite allows her to help out the community while running a sustainable business within the city of Newark.                            

Exquisite is big on waste management and sustainability when it comes to the work that they do in the community. She believes in doing research into what is necessary and bringing the resources to the community in order to achieve the goal of restoring Newark.    

Her advice for new business owners is to do your research. Exquisite has partnered with Invest Newark in order to further promote their business. Being their first big customer and their first governmental customer, Invest Newark has contributed to their growth by working on behalf of the community of Newark.    

Exquisite has employed members of the community who believe in what they are doing in the community  and have secured  customers who’ve seen engagement with Invest Newark and wanted to have them do work for them. Karima hopes to use Invest Newark to secure more big investors as they continue to grow. She wants the community to recognize them and know they have the best interest of the community in mind when they go into vacant properties and do clean outs.
